Why do you think the profession of a caregiver is so important for society? I had a case - after an operation my grandmother could hardly stand up, and we tried to help her with the whole family, but honestly, no one could cope. Then we hired a caregiver - she not only helped with physical care, but also talked to grandma, walked with her. As a result, my grandmother got better and started smiling again. I realized it wasn't just about care, it was about humanity. I wonder how you see it?

I am from Brazil, now I live in Pennsylvania. We had a similar experience in our family - my mother-in-law needed 24/7 care after a stroke. For a long time we couldn't figure out where to start and what it even means to be a caregiver here in the US. Finally I came across an article https://carepointpa.com/what-is-a-caregiver/ - it explains what is caregiver means not only in terms of duties, but also from a human point of view. It helped a lot - now we have a different attitude towards this profession. It is more than a job, it is support and warmth that people often lack.
